  • The street of Castiglione is located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. It connects the place Vendôme the Rivoli Street. Its was created in 1802, at the time when this area was still occupied by convents; She spends on the road that connected the convents of the Feuillants and the nasturtiums and named after a victory of Bonaparte, at Castiglione in Mantua in Italy region on the Austrians in 1796. This neighborhood was changing; As Bonaparte also made about 1802, the Rivoli Street that honors his battles in Italy on the Austrians, by taking courses on the convent of the Feuillants, which dated from 1587 under Henry III this street is in a very upscale neighborhood with luxury hotels such as the Westin Paris-Vendôme at no. 3 and the luxury shops and a star restaurant the "square of the Feuillants" at no. 14. Well, you will notice that all of the buildings are in the same style, with arcades, because at the time the style of buildings was imposed in the specifications of the building permits to give an architectural unity to the neighborhood as the street of Rivoli near. Only luxury and Napoleonic Architecture lovers will be delighted by this street. I spend a few times but don't stop there that rarely, while enjoying classic 1 St empire and perspective with the place Vendôme! The front of the pharmacy "SWAN" at number 6 is as amazing a little "retro" style. To find restaurants, it is better go Street in Mount Tabor that crosses the street of Castiglione in the middle. Access to the street can be done by the metro stations in the Rivoli Street is ' Tuileries "line no. 1 and"Consistent"lines No. 1, 8 and 12

  • This is a nice street of upscale shops between Place de Vendome and Jardin des Tuileries. There is a wide range of restaurants nearby so that you can find the price point you are comfortable with.  more »
  • It is an alley with much trade for the typical tourist... but its function more inportant is to connect the garden lastertulias and the famous louvre Museum.
