Very much under construction so it was slightly harder to find what I was looking for this time around. It has a fantastic fragrance floor which has many of the big perfume houses highlighted and I always go here when I'm searching for something new and exciting. They've installed a beautiful new art installation wall alongside the escalators which is well done. Many lovely things but I think these renos are much needed and likely to make the store so much better

Why lose your time at the Galery Lafayette, if you can have a much better service and considerably faster! Don't worry at the level of quality of products you will hardly find a difference! Also price wise, sometime the prices might even be more affordable! also consider there is a Laduree in the building!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
