Pont-Neuf, Paris
(4.3/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Despite its name, Pont-Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine in Paris. This medieval bridge has two separate spans: one with five arches joining the left bank to the Île de la Cité, and the other with seven spans joining the island to the right bank. Be sure to note the turrets, shaped like half-moons, that give the arches their characteristic appearance. Then look for grotesque masks called "mascarons" that decorate the molding cornice on each side of the bridge. • The bridge is not new, but it is hermosa. The lock placed on it's classic proof of love of couples. The photo with the Eiffel also!

  • A classic, both cross it as seen from another bridge adjacent, as it is the bridge of the arts, or even to see them from the Ile de la cité. Both day and night, it is worth to see it.

  • I like this bridge, but before seeing the Alexandre III, I recommend to see this bridge first and appreciate the art of locks and their age prior to see Alexandre III already that this is much more elegant and glamorous and will call you much more attention. It is be a bridge very beautiful and cute to watch!
