  • Beautiful tribute to diana, attention grab this tourist! A man sells padlocks to attach to the turn of the status or people pays tribute to diana, except that this gentleman who sells it has a padlock double keys he expects you to go pick it up cleans them and puts back them on sale! Attention to have you! We have seen him do and I find it disgusting!

  • The bridge has gained fame in 1997, when he became the tunnel below it on the right bank site of Princess Diana's death. Since then, thousands of people came to the bridge to lay flowers at the Memorial in the shape of a flaming torch-just so happens it's usually seen as a reminder of the tragedy. In fact, the design was installed a decade ago, it is a copy of the torch bearing the statue of liberty in New York.

  • The bridge itself is not very beautiful, but it is famous for the calculation of the level of the Seine in reference to the feet of its Zouave. See out of curiosity.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
