  • This street is located in the 16th arrondissement, in space that originally was in the village of Passy before its integration in Paris under the Second Empire in 1867, with the creation of the borough. It to the level of "La Muette" is from avenue Paul Doumer and ends place Costa Rica, in the direction of the Trocadero. The interesting part of the street is the place of Passy, which is a lively and charming, with a little "Village" atmosphere and the small shopping centre "Passy Plaza" at no. 53. The impasse of the quarries located at the level of the No. 26 Passy Street, is a place that contrasts with the rest of Passy Street. It is a paved path that leads to an antique shop and has old-style houses. The rest of the street does not have particular interest compared to other Parisian streets. Access is via the subway stations "La Muette" line no. 9 side West and from the metro station "Trocadéro" line no. 6 and 9 by the street is Benjamin Franklin, side

  • I confess to being surprised to stumble upon a Paris attraction that would be termed "Passy"; the proof of the misunderstanding is that everyone says something different. Passy is a neighborhood of Paris, of course integrated into the intra muros, in full 16th capital; at the beginning of the 19 th century, before the end of this same century urbanization, it was still a village, which remains scattered traces. Passy is also a long Street shopping, rather any, crowded and noisy; the presence of a pretty covered market, a bit off, however brightens the environment. It is also a shopping centre located in a built luxury building big ten years ago. Curious idea because it is not considered "chic" to live a busy street by Parisian bourgeois codes. Passy is also a cemetery (overlooking the square of Trocadéro), large and airy. Saw that Passy is located on a hill, there are nice enough stairs and the beginning of metro said "air" at the station of the same name. All this is of disparate...

  • I have lived in the Passy neighborhood for 3 years. Tourists shum it, preferring the trendy Marais where we have also lived, but it is very convenient for museum hopping and biking, . It is quiet and ...  more »

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
