Among the many beautiful churches to visit in Paris, this is undoubtedly part of it, in the beautiful area of the 4th arrondissement.

It is located in the beautiful quarter of Le marais. This Jesuit church was built in the 17TH century. In her important events have occurred as the christening of Carlos VI or Carlos VII. The building is a mixture of styles Gothic Italian and French, with Dutch-style ornamentation. The facade, seen from the street of San Antonio, is particularly colorful and has been well restored after the destruction of the statues during the revolution. It is worth verse, in my opinion, the organ, "La vierge the Douleur" of Germain Pilon, the high altar which was built from the remains of the tomb of Napoleon, and holy water containers donated by Victor Hugo. I personally loved this church. I recommend spend awhile to get lost and wander it.

Beautiful Catholic church inside and out.

Breath taking and well worth the stop. It's not the Norte Dame or the Sacre Cour, but there is a lot of history here if you have someone along to point it out.

Probably my favourite church in Paris. It's absolutely breathtaking. Definitely visit this hidden gem, along with a stroll around the lovely neighbourhood.

With so many beautiful churches and other examples of fine architecture in and around Paris, it's not hard to imagine many great buildings go unseen. Don't make the mistake with saint Paul. Definitely make the trip if your anywhere in the vicinity. A very simplistic, yet appealing exterior leads to an amazing interior. This near 500 year old building has been beautifully maintained.

Stumbled across this stunning church by accident walking through Le Marais, and what a gem it is. Make the effort to visit, you won't be disappointed

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
