Paris Plage, Paris

2.4/5 based on 180 reviews on the web
Recline on a riverfront beach at Paris Plage. The mayor of Paris decided to create temporary, artificial beaches each summer along the river Seine in the center of Paris and along the Bassin de la Villette. Every July and August, roadways on the banks of the Seine are blocked off and transformed into sandy beaches. You can even relax under palm trees. Unlike many French beaches, topless sunbathing is not permitted. Swimming in the Seine is not allowed for safety reasons. Every year new features are added, such as a shuttle ferry linking the two riverbanks and a floating swimming pool. • On a hot summer day the ideal place to sit back, relax, watch the boats pass by and drink something with friends.
  • Very well organized, is suitable for all ages, both to families and singles and friends. A lot of animations (tai chi, dance for adults and lots of games for children). It's very nice to walk along the Seine and to have all the beautiful monuments in front of you!

  • I remember the first years, it was remarkable, much entertainment of all kinds, many sponsors, a lot of people, it was a pleasure for me to hang out on this site, this year a disaster "nothing more" sand and deckchairs little occupes.un booth place and drinks every 200 meters, a few games, few people. I wonder if cel is worth to repeat the year next with our local tax money.
