Paris Plage, Paris
(2.3/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Recline on a riverfront beach at Paris Plage. The mayor of Paris decided to create temporary, artificial beaches each summer along the river Seine in the center of Paris and along the Bassin de la Villette. Every July and August, roadways on the banks of the Seine are blocked off and transformed into sandy beaches. You can even relax under palm trees. Unlike many French beaches, topless sunbathing is not permitted. Swimming in the Seine is not allowed for safety reasons. Every year new features are added, such as a shuttle ferry linking the two riverbanks and a floating swimming pool. • In July and August if you walk along the banks of the Seine you will fall on Paris-Beach, sun loungers, table football, bowls are available as well as bars on all the way to a stop before continuing your walk. If you want to have a place you should go early, after of course too many people there.

  • A few weeks a year it's festive, it's nice for those who cannot go on vacation! But on year-round, this impinges on the work of the people, and it becomes harmful! In fact it speaks to us of road traffic and pollution, but this traffic is diverted from the streets to slow traffic with red lights! Yet congestion and traffic lights equals many start here where the motors consume not far from 60 litres / 100 km! A total abberation! More experience the docks left closed for several years, as soon as it rains, and fall in the spring, there is almost no one because of the weather but also the lack of programming and activities, while on the high banks of thousands of motorists galèrent to WORK on a daily basis! Because Yes it is not always possible to take boxes of material for an artisans or bags of commercial demonstrations in public transport already saturated! It's not like heaven in the basement clean, secure, reliable and empty waiting in vain for users! The only regular use of these closed banks, are the thousands of people who come to drink every weekend, resulting in disorders, dangerous behaviors that involve the river brigades of firefighters and police. Not to mention the impossibility to do his jogging the morning because of the debris and many bottles which litter the docks!
