  • A beautiful, peaceful place where inclines and landscapes succeed. We don't push too long presentations on the tables. The animals seem well, a real concern to give them a natural environment. We regret the price a little high, but the quality and price will make this place a safe haven with plenty of room for each animal, the educational explanations at the time of feeding are very clear show well the philosophy of the place. Beautiful renovation, nice presentation with rare animals (manatees, Capybaras, mara, lazy...). It's worth a visit!

  • More than 50 years ago that I couldn't set foot as I was pleasantly surprised by the new development of the Park. Over the narrow enclosure, ditches to bears, lions etc. who now give way to larger spaces organized around the 5 continents. However see two manatees in a small basin shocks me. We went to lunch on site to SIAM. Despite the "sounding" names of the card, I can't dine in a gourmet restaurant! Food is OK nothing more and the service is terrible!

  • The zoo of Vincennes or Paris Zoological Park is located in a very nice green area. I was here in 1996 and I didn't have a very good memory. But, frankly, bravo for the renovation. Biotopes are skillfully handled, there are many little-known plants. Among the animals, many species poorly represented in other zoos (manatees, wild dogs, monkeys and rare deer...). On the other hand, restoration areas to flee (poor organization, ultra slow service, bad quality food, etc.)

  • Although the zoo isn't huge it is well set out and easy to get round. I loved seeing the penguins! Well worth a look.
  • Infested with rats! We had to cut our visit short - after seeing over 30 rats in with the flamingos we decided to leave! Such a shame as it could be a lovely zoo.
  • Best zoo I've been to. Difficult to properly see the whole thing in one day. Not too crowded. Great for a nice day off. Very easy to reach by metro. Bring a picnic lunch to eat or eat there.
  • This zoo is quite small as compared to any other big cities. Also they don't have elephant, bear, royal bengal tiger etc. Overall for the first timer its good but for people who have seen good zoo will definitely not like it. Its more like a picnic spot than zoo.
  • I enjoyed it more than other zoo in Paris, I must say, despite not being a child. Not too big, of course there aren't some popular animals, but very nice place, easy to walk through the whole area and easy to spend a lot of time there. Bassin des otaries was the best!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
