We attend 2 days of this international Congress for the third year, as "featured" the Professor Henri Joyeux. The framework of the Floral Park is lovely. It is aptly named. Security measures are impressive but understandable in this period where terrorist violence is still topical. The opening of the doors is punctual which we don't have to wait too long under a fine mist. The guards carry out their work with professionalism, politeness and amiability. In the locker room, the Officer informs us that we cannot drop our bags the next day. What fortunately proved totally wrong! Well, we could have avoided this unnecessary stress! We note some improvements: landscaping of the toilets which have become mixed, so probably to avoid the queues for the ladies. The technician responsible for the maintenance, however, seems overwhelmed by the influx. Cleanliness is not always at the rendezvous. The ingenious dryers faucets require a learning of a few seconds. A few glasses of WC are missing but not paper! In the hall where is Congress, the trash bags are replaced regularly. The lines to be restored are long and it is very difficult to find a seat. The Board sound-image works almost perfectly. We will be back.

Apart from the disappointment of having to pay for school summer! This Park is a wonder that aptly named flowers and gorgeous trees! Special mention for the truly sublime dalhias contest! There is something for all tastes if you like plants and flowers go!

Absolutely stunning park or should I say botanical garden. I am probably influenced because I visited on a super hot weekend when the park looked at it's best. Water features, beautiful plants including water lilies, greenhouses, lovely cafes and a fantastic events space that was hosting the Paris Jazz Festival. It wasn't easy finding the park entrance because it was easy to miss the signs in the Metro. Look out for the sign otherwise you will end up wondering around the old Chateau Vinciennes like me, which is not a bad thing as this crumbling edifice is very interesting to look at.

It's a nice park. There are so many wonderful flowers, it's a good adventure for children to discover all of them.

Hundreds of people when it's sunny but so pleasant with children. Don't plan to have lunch there, it's not tasty, better bring a baguette than sit on the terrace of the restaurant...

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
