Named after Campus Martius in Rome, Parc du Champ de Mars has a long, lush lawn lined with gardens. If you're looking for uninterrupted views of the Eiffel Tower, this park is a perfect place for a stroll. Children will love the playgrounds, and the 24.5 hectare (60 acre) open space offers many opportunities for outdoor sports. On the military school side of the park, away from the Eiffel Tower, you'll see the Monument to Peace, with the word peace written in 32 languages on two glass forms and 32 columns.   • I had never been to this park because I was watching the Eiffel Tower still on the other side... And frankly it's much more impressive here. The setting is nice, bring drink but attention to the Romanian and sellers has the sly...

  • Ideal to rest after a long walk, eat a baguette and admire the views of the Tour Eiffel. A little neglected is true, but impossible to hold idyllic with the number of tourists who traverse it every moment. Recommended!
