Parc des Buttes Chaumont, Paris
(4.6/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Wander around the lush green paradise of Parc des Buttes Chaumont. This is the largest, hilliest, and least touristed park in Paris, where you'll find a real Parisian atmosphere. Climb to the top of the hill and overlook the north of Paris, with Montmartre before you. Walk over a suspension bridge to reach a decorative temple, which sits atop a steep cliff. The park has a waterfall fed by a natural spring deep underground, which flows into a lake. • Located in the 19th arrondissement, Paris chic! This Park is beautiful and huge. Prepare for a long and beautiful ride at the heart of a green area, very well maintained! I highly recommend this address!

  • One of the most beautiful parks in Paris. It is nice to walk in all seasons. Busy but not crowded even in summer.

  • Very nice Park and very very enjoyable despite its sides, a green lung in this district of the 20th century. Can be avoided for people with difficulties to move

  • Gorgeous park. If you are in Paris for only a weekend or so, I wouldn't do it, as there is so much else to see. But if you visit for longer, and start to feel the urge to do something relaxing and peaceful away from the crowds -- this is it. Bring some food and have a picnic, spend an hour or two walking around among all the green. The area south of the park is quite pleasant for a brief wander too. A little bit slower and quieter (and cheaper!) than the rest of the city. I found a nice bakery, I'm sure there are other good surprises too.
  • An amazing place and one of the best tourist destinations in Paris. You can be there for just a few minutes or even for a whole day without being bored. Theres so much to see! :)
  • Wow - what a spectacular place for a stroll, for a picnic, to get fresh air and exercise! Is in the midst of some long-running renovations but there's plenty to enjoy and the views are stunning.
  • An absolutely stunning park in northeastern Paris, with a large stone butte in the center surrounded by a small lake, and beautiful bridges connecting the viewpoint at the top to the surrounding hills. Highly recommended for those in search of a leisurely walk or looking to escape the more touristic monuments of Paris.
  • The most outstanding park of Paris, great parcours that will let you hike up and down the small paths. You will even walk through a bridge to get to an island and have a glimps of the petite ceinture. Take a snack with you and enjoy seating on the lawn.
