Parc des Buttes Chaumont, Paris
Categories: Nature & Parks
Wander around the lush green paradise of Parc des Buttes Chaumont. This is the largest, hilliest, and least touristed park in Paris, where you'll find a real Parisian atmosphere. Climb to the top of the hill and overlook the north of Paris, with Montmartre before you. Walk over a suspension bridge to reach a decorative temple, which sits atop a steep cliff. The park has a waterfall fed by a natural spring deep underground, which flows into a lake. Better than most intra muros Parisian parcs. Hilly, spacious, good grass to lay on

This is hands down the best park in Paris. Great place for the whole family during the day, and a fun place to go for drinks at Rosa Bonheur or the other bars in the evening. Lots of runners during the day. The grotto complete with a giant waterfall and stalactites is a great example of a pre-Disney age folly.

Wether you are tourist or not anyway you are discovering Paris with a fresh eye if you are there. A fantastic place that merges City and Nature. Such wonderful when the weather is nice.
Everybody talks about the catacombs, louvre and other famous places in Paris, not that much about this park. It`s amazing!!! If in Paris again I`ll return for sure here, not to other clicês attractions.
