Parc de Bagatelle, Paris

4.5
#19 of 76 in Parks in Paris
Situated at the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, Parc de Bagatelle is one of Paris’s four botanical gardens. Created in 1775, the park and its chateau were built in 64 days after a wager between Queen Marie-Antoinette and her brother in-law, the Count of Artois. This site is the perfect place for you to stroll and relax amongst the stressful days of sightseeing. As well as large trees and varied plant life, little bridges, rocks, caves, bodies of water, and artificial waterfalls add to the charm and romantic aspect of the park.

In addition, the 19th century Chinese pagoda is just one of the park’s many curiosities to explore, and you can also admire the magnificent rose garden with 10,000 rose bushes from 1,200 different species. The park regularly hosts exhibitions and events as well as classical music concerts in the summer. • A bit hard to find but worth it. Very peaceful. Seems to be popular with locals. Several dog walkers and joggers when we visited but very few tourists.  more »
  • Gate lovely station, an amusement park-like atmosphere. Could not open the rose garden was looking for. Was very nice, clean birds parakeets Parrot like that instead of being loose in the garden.

  • It's cute and cool at the same time. Tfes spectacular but not the feeling of having spent a good day you is assured. Less world that the other large park is the possibility to renew some rides as many times as you wish.

  • A beautiful park - Nature - many species of flowers, trees and other plants, usually can not find parking spaces easily on the promenade. Toilets generally not very clean. Do not expect a friendly reception from the employees, the French are very boring, unfriendly, they work as if they were making a huge sacrifice and an overwhelming favor to you. Take with you potable water and snack, food and water in France cost the price of gold.
  • Beautiful in summer when its flourished, the only inconvinient is you have to pay (only in summer).
  • It is a parc in a parc. Really nice place.
  • Gorgeously manicured park replete with a bunch of roaming peacocks and lovely water features.
  • Most comfortable place Place in sunny day.
