Parc Andre-Citroen, Paris

3.9
#25 of 50 in Parks in Paris
Garden Nature / Park
Parc Andre-Citroen is a blooming public park located on the left bank of the river Seine. If you’re looking to get away from the bustle of the city, try this verdant haven, embellished with two greenhouse pavilions that host exotic plants and Mediterranean vegetation, and are separated by running fountains.

As you venture to the southern part of the park, you’ll find a monumental canal, the "Jardin des Métamorphoses", composed of an elevated reflecting pool. Head to the northern side for the six "Serial Gardens", each with a distinct landscape and architectural design, and a "Garden in Movement" that presents wild grasses selected to respond at different rates to wind velocity. By using our Paris trip generator, you can arrange your visit to Parc Andre-Citroen and other attractions in Paris.

  • It’s a nice place to relax or take your kids out for play. Well maintained lawns, small pond with ducks roaming freely around. There is a hot air balloon too which goes over 150 m high and gives you a...  more »
  • Development on the former brownfield that has the merit of bring a walking area in a district of Paris very dense, and pretty ugly constructions of the 70s. Then it's disappointing a lot of concrete, grass areas an attempt of aesthetic kind Soviet urban happiness, or prefecture place.. .we are far from the English gardens, could use a little of natural bien.vers the Seine the part with a few trees is more sympa.c' is sad and a little Davis. For a break by the way but not worth the detour.

  • This Park is a lovely stroll down the Seine from central Paris, and well worth the effort. The park has little hidden garden areas, a wonderful lawn to laze about on and a water fountain which was ful...  more »

  • Very pleasant park that would need to be better known. Beautiful setting with the water canal around and groups of people picnicking or playing other activities. Don't forget your swimsuit during the hot summer days, the water fountains are waiting! Kids surely love them.
  • The Parc is awesome. Very beautiful. But dogs are not allowed inside. There's a small park just outside it where dogs ARE allowed. FYI.
  • Perfect for picnics or such tanning. Very modern and beautiful park. Big flat grass area is great, but be sure to walk in the area just next to it as well, just behind the wall of shrubs. There is a big water fountain with sparkling and flat water, some Asian style gardens, picnic table things, bamboo, and cool tucked away spots.
  • Great park for picnic, relaxing, walking and running. There is an aerostatics globe that goes up and down in the park providing a majestic view of the city. There are short paths that lead to small areas where you feel isolated from the city and pretend to be in a forest. Be sure to explore the different gardens with their diverse collection of plants (fruits, medicinal, etc.) and to take the elevated walk at the level of the tree tops. It's a great place to come with kids or for a romantic afternoon in the park.
  • Loved t hi is park. The Balloon Generali operates here....amazing. nice for picnics and frisbee.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
