Parc Andre-Citroen, Paris

(3.9/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Parc Andre-Citroen is a blooming public park located on the left bank of the river Seine. If you’re looking to get away from the bustle of the city, try this verdant haven, embellished with two greenhouse pavilions that host exotic plants and Mediterranean vegetation, and are separated by running fountains.

As you venture to the southern part of the park, you’ll find a monumental canal, the "Jardin des Métamorphoses", composed of an elevated reflecting pool. Head to the northern side for the six "Serial Gardens", each with a distinct landscape and architectural design, and a "Garden in Movement" that presents wild grasses selected to respond at different rates to wind velocity. By using our Paris trip generator, you can arrange your visit to Parc Andre-Citroen and other attractions in Paris.

  • Finally, I wanted to see this park which we see the big ball by far. Small park, empty with large concrete aisles, of the closed greenhouses (dead plants). a big square with a rectangular basin (modern!). but nothing works (the jets of water and even though it's winter does really seem to not have served for a long time) everything is abandoned or even broken as the marble slabs. the lawns are seedy. In short no interest. to flee!

  • The idea of this park was excellent as built on a brownfield Citroën factories. It opened in 1992. Architecture and organization of this park are innovative by creating structures simple and stripped, with of pools and waterfalls around a large central lawn. The thematic areas are formed by gardens, related to human senses or planets, or even days. Two large exotic glass greenhouses are located side South. A large tethered balloon rises above the Park day without wind and in clear weather, which limits his activities. It can carry 30 passengers. Alas, all this happens in the middle of a set of disorders incompatible with the intended purpose; Greenhouses are closed, the ponds are dry with torn tarpaulins, plantations are in bad condition, waterfalls are closed, etc.; Only the bar and its terrace in the Sun is operational. The lawns are as every winter at rest, but that does not justify the State of poor maintenance of this space. Side Seine, the prospect is depressing as barred by the bridge of the RER and the Palisades to jobs that aren't to endure. This gives me the impression of a huge mess, as the city of Paris can sometimes produce. And it lasts it seems, since 2013! Access of this site is possible by stations "Bleach" metro line no. 10 and the RER C to the North and South by the station of the RER C "The Garigliano bridge" and tram T3

  • This is probably one of the hidden gems of Paris (at least for an average tourist). First, the park itself is beautiful, second, it has amazing architecture surrounding the park and inside it and third, it has one of the coolest attraction in Paris, the hot air baloon! Visit it and you won't regret it!
  • This is Paris' Park of Parks. It's one huge garden, with several smaller gardens. I visited on a miserable day during the June 2016 floods but that didn't distract at all. The dancing fountain, the Grand Balloon, the smaller gardens and the 2 greenhouses and the water features make it a worthwhile visit.
  • Nice parc to spend time rwading, painting or with the family, also you can go in a ballon to have a nice views of Paris. Better to visit in summer.
  • Ok park, with nice fountains and some plants. There is also a balloon that probably gives a nice view of Paris if you go up. Has a very good, but expensive café. Toilets are limited and not clean.
  • Beautiful quite park, with lawns and fountains. Great for a picnic.
