  • Last flag of the colonial exhibition of 1931 style Moroccan Palace, including the façade, the furniture and the Interior frescoes deserve a detailed tour. What a great idea for making the national centre of immigration; question so important to think today about the France Earth home; The permanent fund is very educational, very touching windows containing a personal item, a photo, an official document to touch the finger a personal journey more helmets with audio testimonials. He should come back as impossible to embrace all of a sudden, browse the Gallery of gifts collected by the Museum, anonymous or not (Cavanna, Sarah Doraghi...) GREAT WORK! BRAVO!

  • Unusual museum dedicated to immigration, visited during the beautiful display "Bye Italy", memory of Italian immigration in France. The building is Art Deco both outside and inside, and the Museum is divided in part dedicated to real museum dedicated to the French colonies and consequent immigration from these conquered territories (in fact originated as a Museum of the colonies), and then to the dedicated to temporary exhibitions. Unfortunately exists, as practice in France, only French language and only in part of the exhibition dedicated to Italy and lyrics were partly in our language. Two no trace ... It is on the outskirts of Paris on avenue Daumesnil 293, Métro: Porte Dorée.

  • The Palace Golden alone by its architecture and decoration is worth a visit. The reliefs and frescoes are magnificent and recall the era of major exhibitions. Mustn't forget that time remaining lucid on a speech from another time. The part of the Museum and its exhibitions recalls the place of immigration, which constitutes wealth despite the difficulties, the turmoil it can create. The reminder of the waves linked to the terrible events of the world and history is well presented and very informative. A look that many see...

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
