Located in the Île de la Cité in central Paris, Palais de justice de Paris is built on the site of the former royal palace of Saint Louis, of which the Sainte Chapelle remains, and the justice of the state has been dispensed at this site since medieval times. From the 16th century to the French Revolution, this was the seat of the Parlement de Paris. At Palais de justice de Paris, you can also see the ancient structure of the Conciergerie, a former prison, now a museum, where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned before being executed on the guillotine.

If you’re interested in more history, check out the Chambre Dorée, the place where the revolutionary tribunal pronounced the death sentence on Marie-Antoinette in 1793. See Palais de justice de Paris and all Paris has to offer by arranging your trip with our Paris trip itinerary planning tool .

  • When you walk to the place de la Bastille, Palais-de-Justice Court (Palais de justice de Paris), Chatelet square through the island of Ile de la Cité, Ile Saint Louis did tour appearance. This is a gorgeous historic buildings located between the santosiyapel Church is known in the Conciergerie Marie Antoinette was detained and beautiful stained-glass Windows. It was with that and moved into the judicial building nestled between a major Paris tourist destination corresponds to the Supreme Court of Japan. Doesn't interfere with the building exterior tours also give internal visitors from early morning on Sunday, but closed the iron gate.

  • Once visited the Holy Chapel, take a tour around the courthouse. At least the ambition and the idea that we were with her at that time had a certain allure.

  • Palace of Justice is located on the island. Modern building constructed in 1857-1868 Gg. The building is decorated with sculptures by Jean-Marie Bonnasjo. Now here continue to operate French judicial institutions: the Court of Cassation and appeal courts.

  • lucas lambertini of star of service needs jail time for fraud unlawful trading and fraud is in paris france please put him in jail
  • Super nice office building. Nestled in the heart of Paris. Tidy and clean Street. Good for strolling. We did not enter the palace as the queue was very long on European heritage day. Expect a 45 minutes wait or more whenever you want to visit. Free WiFi from Paris town council. Smoking is allowed. It's few yards away from river Seine. Close to many restaurants and Notre dame.
  • Great looking building and gate!
  • Impressive architecture at the heart of the oldest part of Paris. Notre Dame is the obvious draw to Île de la Cité, but this is one of many more things to see here.
  • Just walk by. The main gate is beautiful. It's just a fuew minutes from Notre-Dame.
