Opera district contains many places of cultural, historical, and architectural interest, including the Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera, and its large department stores--Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Famed for its large avenues, built by the Baron Haussmann under Napoleon III, the district once reigned as a residential hub. Now, however, it's a center for businesses, featuring many well-known banks, restaurants, hotels, and cafes. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Paris holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Opera district and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Paris Opera district refers to 9-th district of Paris. The main target is, of course, the Opera Garnier, which gave the name. Around office buildings of international and French leading companies and huge shopping centers like "Gelerei Lafayette" and "Printemrs". In aritekture haussmannian predominates, i.e. all very solid and monumental. By the way, the boulevards des Capucines, Madeleine, are here. In General, probably not the most my favorite area in Paris, but his attractive.
