  • I had no idea how much I would have liked... The architect Dominique Perrault used wood, glass and steel to design this wonder, inaugurated in 1996. To the four corners of the great esplanade stands a tower in the form of open book. All is majestic. Conferences, exhibitions interesting... and a nice garden in the Middle - very RESTful to see even if we can't access it. A discovery continues. The neighborhood is new, a little peripheral but quiet - we went there in the morning. French excellence.

  • One of my favorite places on earth! Amazing architecture for tourists. Amazing place to study for students or work for researchers (I'm a researcher). Lots of restaurants, food trucks, cafés, and bars around, in addition to a Monoprix supermarket and a movie theater.
  • Best spot to study. Great events and exhibitions. And as you can see good to chill and have break. Next to food trucks, cinema, many other facilities.
  • A friend of mine went there haven't been myself but would love to go soon 👍
  • A library mainly for students and researchers. Nice architecture and buildings. Direct connection to the pedestrian bridge. A big cinema in the same complex.
  • Incredible place, with so many visitors coming from all over the world it would be good that a few more people spoke english seeing they have an english section. Its free after 5pm I think, and you pay a very cheap amount for the whole day. The facilities are amazing and they even have a cafe and outdoor balcony. There was a free photography exhibition on when I was there and an incredible historical display next to the cafe, free. Definately worth a look!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
