  • This is the third time I have visited the Picasso museum and each time I am hoping it will get better and now after the third time I will never go back. Each time a significant portion of the museum.....  more »
  • I stepped in as part of Rick Steves "Marais Walk" (in his 'Paris' guidebook - highly recommended). I'm not exactly a huge fan of the weird Picasso style (I am totally a realist), but the museum has...  more »

  • Must go if you love art!!! The museum was very nice and very interesting. I knew I would like it a lot but was even better than I expected it. Take it in little by little to understand it even more and appreciate it even more. At the end, you can go and sit back for a little bit in the small park there. It’s very peaceful. After you leave the museum just walk around this area of Le Marais, it’s got a very special feel with really nice restaurants and bars.
  • Interesting presentation of Picasso’s work. To create a different view on his art, the museum is proposing thematic temporary exhibitions like recently Cadet VS Picasso. Overall I was a bit disappointed for the price asked at the entry, I was expecting more major pieces of art from him and something a little more interactive without to take their audioguide. The space is also strangely organized. ... big rooms almost empty, small ones full of pieces... visit walking direction not clear.
  • As with all the Museums in France, they are ageist. I'm an art history student in the US over the age of 25, and they wouldn't accept my international student ID for the student discount because I was over 25. Was told I needed to pay the adult full price for a ticket and to top it off, half of the floors were closed. A student is a student no matter the age. Some of us aren't privileged enough to get a higher education until we save up for it and then to punish us financially because we aren't the stereotypical young college student is discriminatory. Luckily I looked at their catalog before paying for a ticket; doing so made me realize they didn't have nearly as much as I've seen in academic works so I didn't feel justified in paying for a ticket with half the floors closed.
  • Very lovely experience! Definitely worth a visit... Always amazed how many excellent works of art can be collected. Here is no exception. The pieces are of high quality and a very good selection from his works. It is placed in a manner to tell a wonderful story. Some of the pieces are very unique! The building the pieces are housed is very beautiful and well maintained. There are several lovely restaurants and shops in the area...
  • This is a very nice museum and it doesn’t seem like it’s visited very often. There were not very many people in line and you don’t have to fight the crowds to see all of the beautiful artwork. I highly recommend adding this to your museum list while in Paris.
