  • The remarkable Museum is now closed. I had the chance to do two visits. My regret is that I have not convinced all of my friends to go there. How sad!

  • The Museum is located at a dead end, in a characteristic architectural building. The works were on display from the slot floor on the top floor. It was a beautiful exhibition with works of different styles. The Museum has just shut down on December 31, 2016.

  • Thanks to the "Parisian" who did the great job in what concerns the Mendjisky Museum. Thanks to a recent article, I learned the existence of this space dedicated to art. But it was almost too late... because I got to see the latest exhibition, "the draft dodger of Modern Art. A treat for the eyes and a source of valuable information on a sadly bygone era. Like so many others, I was able to appreciate the quality of the welcome, the relaxation of this amazing clarity, so well restored building layout. A great place and one regret: the disappearance of a museum that didn't have enough budget (s) to disclose its activities. So much money in our country is wasted for all kinds of unnecessary and lost causes, to support freeloaders from all sides, and it would probably take Penny (s) compared to this mess to continue to live such a space. Really too bad, as the neighborhood is beautiful, with some nice places, and such a museum there brought added value undeniably. He don't (me) have to formulate a hope: can the former workshop designed by Mallet-Stevens continue to host project of artistic nature and activities. Especially, no McDonald's or fast-food type instead of the Museum! (Y. the Houelleur)

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
