  • I regularly in this Museum, beautiful and where we discover objects and exhibits on tribal art, of great interest. Ideal location close to the Seine and the EIFFEL Tower, very beautiful building by one of the best architects in the world, Jean NOUVEL; It feels very well in this museum where there is a silence, resting place great and very interesting. Take a membership card, if you have the opportunity to go there several times a year, low cost and benefits.

  • Different Museum, fine craft, with African shows. Good choice for those who enjoy most popular art.

  • Aesthetic introduction and educational copy to human genius of all cultures. Was not there that the West to access the beauty! You feel less alone. At the very least, spend a day of adventure for each continent because there are four different thematic wings... Very well designed, very nice and accessible. We find the taste of exploring.

  • Awesome place! Felt like I stepped into the woods when I arrived, beautiful trees and bamboo. Beautiful journey on the inside, winding your way through different cultures and worlds. Quite interesting. Lovely quiet reading room. Cafe a bit expensive... Didn't go.
  • A really well-planned and presented museum, with an enormous diversity of objects on show. There is an especially strong Pacific section, but the other areas are well done too. Toilets are quite far from the exhibits, but are clean and well maintained. The bookshop is excellent, although if you are bilingual, you'll notice with some disappointment that a lot of the books are translated from English.
  • If you like the primitive art this is right museum for you, the exposition is not too big so you can explore it in around a couple of hours. There is a nice store to buy books and primitive stayle goods. You can find also a good coffee restaurant and a beautiful gardens. The tickets to get access to the exposition are around 10 euros, the rest of the museum's areas are free access.
  • Very nice garden you need to go through before you can enter the museum. The museum is laid out very well, the space just leads you through all the art without you ever need to think about it. The staff that knows English do wear a button with the British flag on it. A nice touch to help you avoid any confusion. Also if you're under 26 and are European, the entrance for part of the exhibition is completely free of charge. I would recommend it only if you're into history or ancient art.
  • Absolutely an amazing experience! The audio guide is a must as it helps moves you through the museum and helps give you an authenic view on the artifacts present! I would definitely suggest this museum to all people!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
