Today, Musee des Monuments Francais is a museum of plaster casts symbolizing French monuments and forms part of the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine. The collection you will view here holds about 6,000 casts of sculptures of all periods, including ancient Greece, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland as well as a strong emphasis on French sculptures of the Romanesque and Gothic periods. You can also see scale models of buildings, copies of architectural elements, sculpture, frescoes, and stained glass from French churches and châteaux.

  • This museum is impressive by the quality and the number of the works on display. It allows the visitor to get an idea of the richness of the cultural heritage of our country and all of the trades called to compete for their preservation or conservation.

  • Something of a tour de France of Monuments and save to get there or almost. Many small churches including the portal is faithfully reproduced by casting. Upstairs on the architecture is good too. The 3rd floor is currently closed... without any reduction in the price of admission...

  • Museum of the bas-reliefs were struck. Well-preserved exhibits. Visual aid for architects. Basically, the Church. But it is interesting.
