  • Entry is not super glamorous, because it is the entrance of a police station. But on the 3rd floor of the Paris Prefecture Museum nestles. Quite small, but very clean and rich. Count at least 1½ hours to really look at each exhibit. We will thus review history of the police and its great moments of the former regime until today, the death of Louis XVI Landru or Violette Nozière case. Many objects are exposed, a Cleaver of guillotine, weapons seized, records of all kinds, uniforms, posters, etc... In short, an exciting and free tour. A little quiz is offered to visitors to test their knowledge. We loved.

  • The administrative building of the police headquarters that houses this museum is not very welcoming. However, the climb to the third floor is worth the trip! Guided by a speaker, comfortable in the history of the Paris police and famous crimes, our group stayed two hours. There, again, more time to see all the exhibits and read these documents.
