  • I took my daughters to Paris last year and we did all the usual sights and I was looking for something a bit different to take them to. I found this museum and when we got there they had some interest...  more »
  • Too high price for the services offered. The Museum of automatons: some do not work! The Museum of magic: three magic tricks seen and seen archi. Presentation of the history of magic: difficult to understand the presenter. Photos prohibited even with your children.

  • I like! I went there as a couple and stayed there a while very nice, entertaining and we learned a lot about this little-known art. We understand that the magic is anything more than a rabbit coming out of a hat. I do not understand haters: the price is justified (magicians, eats it too...) and people who say that there is that old things have nothing understood: a Museum, it's designed to keep objects that come from a different era, so do not wonder r to see antiques!

  • If you fancy a cozy underground cellar-looking apartment full of poorly maintained memorabilia from magic shows of the early and mid 1900’s you will not be disappointed. If you expect anything modern or well-made, to show you some spectacular magic, will will have wasted your money, like we did. (And by the way it costs quite a bit of money)
  • Went today with my two eleven-years olds and their grandmother - we all really enjoyed it - the sixteenth century underground cellar lends a lot of ambiance with its labyrinth of rooms and vaulted stone doorways; the magic show was entertaining; there was a lot of history contained in the exhibitions; and we were fascinated by the displays of optical illusions and old automats. There is also a small shop for budding amateur magicians - I bought a trick and the magician kindly offered to help us out in the future if we get stuck. Only recommendation - give some dates of some exhibits and put some information in English as everything was in French. Overall - definitely recommend it if interested in the history of magic.
  • Something a little different to do on a weekend, was worth the visit. Kids will enjoy the mirrors and show.
  • This is a great museum for kids and lovers of magic. The automatic part of the museum really wasn't that amazing. I was hoping for more creepy dolls, most of the artefacts were kinda dull. Kids would enjoy the "pushing buttons" factor. The magic museum side was pretty cool. Live magic and some nice interactive displays. There was a bunch of kids having a birthday party so was filled with laughter. I imagine when empty this place is creepy as.
  • Good if you have kids or a special interesr
