Paris' only skyscraper, Montparnasse Tower rises 210 m (689 ft) into the sky. While the majority of the tower contains offices, it’s also home to a mall where you'll find gift shops and restaurants. Take the elevator to the top floor and walk up the rest of the stairs to the panoramic terrace that contains a permanent exhibition with panels that present Paris and interactive markers, plus a cafe, a gift shop, and floor-to-ceiling windows with 360-degree views of the city. This tower is not as tall as the Eiffel Tower, so you’ll view things that aren’t as easily seen from such great heights. With our custom trip planner, Paris attractions like Montparnasse Tower can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • It is a place that is worthwhile. The views are excellent and the place on the 56 floor as the 59 allows you to see all of Paris. There are many attractions within the place and kids rugs with 3D drawings are very nice. Access is simple and get place if you go by car also is easy in the parking lot of the building

  • We had a combo ticket and could climb to the Tower twice (i.e. with the elevator on the 56th floor nozzle and then a few stairs up to the observation deck.) The Outlook is really impressive. During the day you can discover many attractions, at night, the glowing Eiffel Tower surpasses everything.

  • You get a great view over Paris from up here no doubt. However all of the glass and security fence is overkill. There is only a small opening in the glass windows where you can get your camera out and take pictures. Which means you can not include your self or anybody else without having the dirty glass within the picture. I understand the security needs to be high. But seriously this is way to much. I have to say I'm very disappointed by this.
  • Highly recommend! The best place to get the full view of all of Paris - Eiffel Tower included. It does tend to get quite busy during sunset as everyone goes to get their pictures so be sure to be there early. Also try to stay until the Eiffel Tower lights up, it's truly magical. They claim to have the fastest elevator in Europe as well.
  • It's a cool attraction. The view is impressive. Personally, I didn't find it was on the ''must see'' of Paris... But it's still cool. If you have time to go, it's fun but if you are limited, personally I would pass.
  • Please don't waste your time or money on a trip to the top of this sad dilapidated bland tower. There are much better views from atop "real" monuments all across the city. The cost was very expensive for a simple elevator ride and the cafe area was lacking in many ways.
  • Beautiful view of Paris at Night. Ticket prices are very affordable. Absolutely stunning!!

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
