  • The staff was incredibly rude, one minute. Accompanied by the brighten with nail clippers and we were seeing a sudden all this staff away from the loud and angry to us and put down dirty goods and responded aggressively. Why the hell didn't understand at first what if angry sound, what is scary is going and selling goods but asked the answer. So, we are cutting the nails as a product (!) And it was a misunderstanding. Now you know what used to be selling products in the shop, of course the sink nails don't chip, we say, but does not listen to insane people. Don't look to the end, did not apologize for the misunderstanding. Figures. Do not want to go back.

  • I went to this café with a friend because we were attracted by the concept of the "Café-bookstore". Finally nothing transcendent. On the table there is like the drinks and we don't have prices of cakes. So we had the surprise by asking the addition. For my part I took a Viennese chocolate in all respects similar to a Starbucks and a fluffy chocolate (which is actually a fudge). I was disappointed because the fondant was cold... If I had seen the price of the cake before I have not taken it as it's exorbitant for a part... My friend and I we agreed never to return in this café that they don't say 'Thank you'

  • Red cars are famous landmarks and sundry shops. Little set back from the street and got a little lost. Shopping Center, so it was crowded by tourists all over the world.

  • One of my favorite stores in Paris... one I must visit with every trip. The ambiance here is very sweet, with their vintage red Mini in the courtyard, & the care to detail continuing throughout the store. They have a beautiful selection of women's shoes, clothing, purses & scarves. They also have great housewears... things you wouldn't see or find elsewhere.. more interesting inventions for housewares.. They have a beautiful linen collection as well - my favorite apron & totes are from here. Great journals & pens, & books. It's wonderful to visit here in June, during the sales, as you can find a lot of fun deals. It's a GREAT spot to pick up some souvenirs for friends & family back home.
  • Excellent shop with very unique and select objects from all kinds. It has multiples restaurants and different sections to the shop. From my experience and personal point of view is a great place to eat and shop at the same time.
  • In a city stuck in some '70s funk of bland food, even worse coffee and no concept of a concept... seriously. Merci is one of the only places to go that has some feeling to it; something more than bistro steak and fries. Not surprisingly, walking there today I photographed 28 restaurants with people sitting outside: at all 28 they were eating tartar or steak and fries. Nothing else. How did Paris ever become a thing? Total bore. Thanks Merci for existing.
  • This is one of my favourite shops in Paris. Its full of unusual products mostly made from natural materials and recycled materials. I love the lighting and linen bedding and recycled glassware. If you are an eco-freak you will love the Merci shopping experience in this airy multi-level store. After walking up and down those stairs why not have a snack in the cafe, preferably outside people watching. Merci is located in Le Marais, a very hip area of Paris with lots of independent boutique shops.
  • I just love everything about this place. Come here everytime we're in Paris. It's in the Trendy Marais neighborhood too. Have a coffee & cake, & people watch. Inside is a fashion shop & homewares shop all under the one roof! Pretty cool! The clothes are a bit expensive for me, but I love to look😊

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
