One of the programs that I love most about doing in every city I visit is wander the fairs and markets. The Marché of Blvd. Richard Lenoir is huge and varied. In addition to fresh products like vegetables, vegetables, fruit and meat/fish, has many stalls with cheeses, cold cuts and sausages and prepared foods. All delicious.

We went to visit the fair on Sunday!!! Has it all!!!! A delight!! There you can sample cheeses, wines, oysters, meats, terrines and many fruits of the season!! We bought a bottle of wine, they sell ice cream and already give the glasses and we buy cheese and a delicious sausage. We sat there in a Bank and on this day we decided that this would be our lunch and we were watching the French doing your shopping! Ride of a lifetime!!

It is more than a market, it's an opportunity to discover the heart of the district. All the flavors and all environments in the world are here. It's a place to live also, somewhat like the London markets. At the same time as you choose your fruits, vegetables, cheeses, spices, and your wines, you can enjoy oysters, served with a glass of white wine, a tray of paella, African, Lebanese snacks, etc. It's a canteen to open with a thousand opportunities of discovery and change of scenery. Looking for rare products of Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Moroccan grocery stores: go no further, they are all assembled here. Prices are generous, to the image of a neighbourhood that has managed to remain popular.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
