Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.

  • Very lively place in the morning in between 2 metro stations. Cheap bargains for bundled items. Heaven for handyman n like me. Recycling center next to busy ring road. Near to my hotel in Galieni Paris.
  • The shopping here was pretty bad, either cheap and new clothing, or old and ratty things. Most stalls was really challenging to navigate, and we didn't find any good shopping. There was, however, an amazing food stand we found which means the trip wasn't totally worthless. These guys did great food with smiles.
  • Great bargains on anything & everything from clothes to shoes to electronics to kitchen utensils etc
  • Here is full of cheap goods, new and used same as a Saturday market. You can be a found interesting things
  • Don't buy electronics here ever they won't last,at times merchants here have nice cargo but always remember to bid their prices lol
