Currently the seat of the French Senate, Luxembourg Palace is a 17th-century palace with original artwork and a grand salon you can tour. The palace was commissioned by Marie de Médici in 1625, and the painting "Coronation of Marie de' Médici in St.-Denis" is displayed in the Gallery of Residents. Also look for portraits of Anne, Duchess of Montpensier; Louis XVIII of France; and Cardinal Richelieu. This is a fantastic looking palace in Paris, which looks opulent both inside and out. Unfortunately, its famous gardens are not as gorgeous as they used to be in the past. Still, worth a visit.

Palais du Luxembourg is the French Senate, situated in the much popular and colourful Jardin du Luxembourg. You can't enter the building but you can have a nice picnic in front of it.. It is so Majestic! Highly recommended to go there, especially on a sunny day.. The whole of Jardin du Luxembourg is amazing for picnic, chilling, talking with friends, etc.

Beautiful and still has flowers.. weather is very ❄️

Lovely for an afternoon stroll. Free toilets available and always lots of chairs. Sometimes have live music on weekends.
-
Beautifully layed out and divided into a very classic tiered garden, with the Palace in the background. Classical statues and famous people line the walkways shadowed by nicely trimmed square trees. And two lions protecting the gardens and fountain. Awesome place here!!!

Great gardens behind the French Senate. Take a rest and enjoy the views, the trees. Take your picnic with you.
