  • Except that this hotel is renovate, c is sad. The rooms in the cottages are clean. Everything is white atmosphere clinic. Not a painting on the walls. Just comfortable bedding. The bathroom is clean but has again given the humidity. The ideal environment to play has Robin Hood... so fall winter to avoid. The kitchen... c is basic, spice to hide the little taste of dishes from... the collective kitchen without another effect as the canteen in the office. Anyway if everyone made a dish of this kind of institution, even for a seminar c is not my thing.

  • We walked along Les Berges de Seine one delightful afternoon in September 2017. On the left bank it extends from near the Tour Eiffel to the Musee d'Orsay and provides stunning views of the many bridg...  more »
  • And we call it a "fitted out walk"! Ah, I'm ashamed to be Parisian... Also, if I had not looked at before you go on the site of the APUR project... Do this... with our local taxes! Ah, it doesn't have to cost too much! Three poor sleepers SNCF as benches, a few strokes of paint (already to halves erased) on the ground as an "entertainment" for young people, four to five plantouilles ("Archipelago Niki de ST - artist", ah she must laugh in heaven, Niki) invaded of bindweed, and apart from that, we walk on the old road. More splendid toilet Algeco, shabby guinguettes and a stock of trash, and risk his life with cyclists and other skateboards who're on us at full speed. What a mess! I said that I'm talking about the left bank part. I preferred to come back... by the dock at the top, at least there are some lawns, and beautiful views.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
