4.1/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web
Le Mur des Je t'aime, or the I Love You Wall, is a work of art conceived by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito. You will be often told this is a must-see for couples from all over the world visiting Paris, the city of romance. The wall is composed of 612 squares of enameled lava, on which 'I love you' is featured more than 310 times in 250 languages. For a lovely walk or a hike, an unusual stop for your honeymoon, the discovery of a missed spot, for saying I love you in different languages, or to stroll in the most romantic place in Paris, check out Le Mur des Je t'aime.

The splashes of red on the fresco represent parts of a broken heart, symbolizing the human race that has been torn apart, which the wall tries to bring back together. This unusual monument, dedicated to love, stands in a Square at the Place des Abbesses in Montmartre. • It is worth visiting and find out the "I love you" in the language of each visitor. It's beautiful and symbolic, too. (It's right near the Sacre Couer;)) We want to go back there;)

  • Not everything that is conceived by an artist must necessarily be called artwork. The wall of je t'aime never had this claim. Actually it is a small space, inside a well manicured garden, where lovers coming from all over the world can search in their own language the two words that seal always love. now, you want to argue forever at any cost just to get one more review on tripadvisor seems really childish. don't go to Paris for the you don't like don't get even.

  • We stayed in the neighborhood of Monmatre, in my opinion the most beautiful retaining the Bohemian atmosphere of Paris. This wall was close to home, and was a perfect visit for a perfect romantic trip.

  • Theoretically just a wall with "I love you" written in hundreds of languages, but the messiness of the scribblings lend a sincerity to the words that captures the imagination.
  • Bigger than expected. Nice to see with your loved one.
  • Kitsch but cute!
  • A lovely place.
  • Right after the metro exit Many tourists but you will have a nice shot with this wall
