Le Mur des Je t'aime, Paris

(4/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Le Mur des Je t'aime, or the I Love You Wall, is a work of art conceived by Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito. You will be often told this is a must-see for couples from all over the world visiting Paris, the city of romance. The wall is composed of 612 squares of enameled lava, on which 'I love you' is featured more than 310 times in 250 languages. For a lovely walk or a hike, an unusual stop for your honeymoon, the discovery of a missed spot, for saying I love you in different languages, or to stroll in the most romantic place in Paris, check out Le Mur des Je t'aime.

The splashes of red on the fresco represent parts of a broken heart, symbolizing the human race that has been torn apart, which the wall tries to bring back together. This unusual monument, dedicated to love, stands in a Square at the Place des Abbesses in Montmartre. • In a small square near the place des Abbesses that big blue wall of I love you in all languages is surprising and impressive. It takes a few minutes to make beautiful pictures because it is a very touristic place. But these minutes allow to look carefully at all of these declarations of love. A must see if we're in the neighborhood.

  • My friend who brought me to this wall or are written with I love you in all the languages of the world. While romantic in the Park although very touristy, so is not the ideal place for an intimate atmosphere.

  • This wall of blue tiles is hidden near the metro exit ... not everyone knows of its existence and in my opinion is one of those places that make this capital city the destination for lovers ... I think it worthwhile to stop by with his girlfriend/or maybe without telling him that you're going there ... I am sure he will find pleasantly romantic.

  • Situated close to Sacre Coeur basilica, this small park with the wall - all scribbled over with "I love you" in different languages - is a good place to spend a few minutes in peace. It's usually much less crowded and more quiet than the famous landmark a few minutes away.
  • Very cool wall in a tiny park just across from the Abesses metro station. Definitely a (free) tourist spot so may be hard to get a clear photo of the wall without people in the shot or everyone trying to take a selfie, but worth a visit on your way to/from Sacrè Coeur.
  • Quiet, reserved and beautiful romantic place to visit with someone or alone. The mural is amazing and the parc has little places for you to sit and enjoy. Be aware of pick pockets!
  • Basically is just a little park, but "the wall of the i love you" it's a very romantic place, it really inspires and draws a smile in everybody's face.
  • As you can imagine from the name is a wall in a nice small garden in the Montmatre district where you can spot the "I Love You" sentence in different languages.
