Le Maison du Miel, Paris

4.3
#73 of 308 in Shopping in Paris
To satisfy your sweet tooth, Le Maison du Miel carries a huge selection of honey from France as well as other regions of the world. In addition to high-quality pure honey, you can experience the shop’s honey candy, jams made with honey, soap made from honey, and honey-related health products. The real fun comes in sampling the honey before you make your choices. These little jars of golden delight make perfect gifts for loved ones at home, too.

The store's name means "House of Honey", and the origins of its honey include the hives at the Opera, the Grand Palais, where the bees feast in famous gardens like The Tuileries and Luxembourg.

Keep in mind before you go that not every member of the sales staff speaks English. See Le Maison du Miel and all Paris has to offer by arranging your trip with our Paris road trip tool .

  • I fell by chance on this shop by going on a date. The sister of a friend works there and it was an opportunity to visit and discover this institution of the honeymoon in Paris. Great shop, various ranges around honey. (Honeys, confectionery, cosmetic...) I took my 2 favorite honey (thyme and lavender), a honey mustard and a jam raspberry honey of Leatherwood (Tasmania), result of a collaboration with Stéphan best Perrotte confiturier of France. We all tasted this morning, Delish! ..... Honey is a finesse and strength at the same time, indescribable. A good french honey (and not a questionable mix of several European honeys) the pot is € 17 the top of the basket but the quality justify the price. Delicious jam. The taste of the fruit you assails and not the taste of sugar unisuement. I will come back to test and take other honeys. Thanks to the team for his warm welcome.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
