Le Maison du Miel, Paris

4.3
#72 of 271 in Shopping in Paris
To satisfy your sweet tooth, Le Maison du Miel carries a huge selection of honey from France as well as other regions of the world. In addition to high-quality pure honey, you can experience the shop’s honey candy, jams made with honey, soap made from honey, and honey-related health products. The real fun comes in sampling the honey before you make your choices. These little jars of golden delight make perfect gifts for loved ones at home, too.

The store's name means "House of Honey", and the origins of its honey include the hives at the Opera, the Grand Palais, where the bees feast in famous gardens like The Tuileries and Luxembourg.

Keep in mind before you go that not every member of the sales staff speaks English. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Le Maison du Miel and many more Paris attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Paris trip builder.

This shop has been operated with no-cease, in the same place, since the late 19th century. Great variety of honey in many tastes - some of them, as the Manuka or Lavender, are not so easy to find on r...  more »

High quality products, very competent and attentive staff. The negative views expressed by "oranginaa" is perfectly ludicrous. An Australian spree that judge of the "Parisian feeling" and attendance at the store in a few minutes and prefers its national production? Is it not rather to a jealous competitor?

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
