Categories: Gift & Specialty Shops, Shopping
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web
Opened in 2002, Lavinia is the largest wine-and-spirits store in Europe and a charm of Paris. Spread over three floors near place de la Madeleine, you can browse more than 3,000 brands of French wine and spirits along with more than 2,000 brands from other parts of the world, which makes this shop a unique gem among wine sellers in France.

A simple lunch-only restaurant is on-site as well as a tasting bar. Prices are reasonable and, even if wines in the shop can be somewhat predictable, you will always be happy to find a good Richard Leroy, Fleurie from Pierre-Marie Chermette, or some other famous names. By using our Paris trip generator, you can arrange your visit to Lavinia and other attractions in Paris.

  • I work at lavinia but this big wines, champagnes and spirits cellar is not for everyone because there are few bottles less than € 10 there is also a restaurant on the 1st floor where the kitchen is nice for the pellets through the head chef Stephen berg that it be said...

  • A nice experience, even if the wines in the tasting were not that great. Really tired sometimes despite use of Voravin and oxidized. The selection and advice is a real plus

  • People often doesn't know what he's talking about. Exit the local mad for having spent too much or for not being served and revered as desired and is unleashed by writing reviews on trip! Behold, to me these are the things that make me ... you don't have to comment on trip so much to do ... you have to be accurate and objective because only in this way then, we all can benefit! Sorry for the outburst but sometimes they read certain ... brrrr nice Pub where you can find lots of bottles and every budget! The thing that struck me was that the prices of bottles are downright honest since they already are among the lowest on average and also if you want to drink at the table, you can drink the wine you've chosen without reloading. And why not do some taste as an aperitif or a casual dinner. Good!

  • Did the wine tasting there and also had a decent lunch at the restaurant. The meal was excellent and the staff was really helpful to suggest for the wine. Although there was a mistake that I was charged twice for the same meal by credit card, the manager was really helpful and willing to solve the problem efficiently after I went back the day after. Will def go and visit there again.
  • The largest wine and liquor store in Paris with a very wide variety of mostly French wines on offer. The restaurant upstairs has bottles at the retail price! Tastings organized regularly.
  • The expert pf wine in Paris, nice staff and tons of advices about what wine to drink with which food...❤️🍷
  • Nice place for winelovers....... But relatively expensive compared to other shops.. Recommend you to look arouund but consider carefully if you do find something which you wanna really buy.
  • It’s a gigantic wine shop that has unique wines from all over the world, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. You can buy a bottle, take it upstairs to their café, and drink it with yummy hors d’oeuvres they serve.
