Gift & Specialty Shop
With architectutal beauty and classy shopping tied into one, Galerie Vivienne is a restored 19th century covered passage created with glass roofs, mosaic-tiled floors, and hand-carved wood. It makes the perfect spot for you to rest and enjoy tea and snacks from the residing shops, which could also take some time to explore. For example, check out A Priori Thé, a classic Paris tea salon, or Legrand Filles & Fils with its delicate chocolates and other candies plus a wine cellar that’s considered a piece of heaven by wine connoisseurs.

Clothing and household furnishing shops also fill the passageway. If you’re traveling with children, Si Tu Veux is considered one of the best toy stores in Europe. Plan your Galerie Vivienne visit and explore what else you can see and do in Paris using our Paris vacation planner.

  • A place to visit absolutely just to dive into the "beautiful" from floor to the ceiling for a coffee, a quiet tea, maybe not at all hours but at 5 pm there was nobody, happiness

  • A great Gallery, a little too many tourists, but worth a look! Too bad there is no explanation in a foreign language. A nice place to visit between Royal Palace and Place Vendôme.

  • One of my favourite things to do in Paris is to walk in the back streets and discover hideaway gems and Galerie Vivienne is one of them. Some shops are closed on Mondays and others don't open until 12...  more »

  • The Galerie Vivienne is a gem all on its own, especially when the weather is bad. Keep an eye out for the specialty shops in the area just surrounding this galerie, including Derville shoes, NOXA, and the Galeries du Palais Royal.
  • Very charming covered passage with a marvellous old bookshop and beautiful mosaic tiles on the floor.
  • It is a great place to photograph. And if you get lucky you can even get into the famous staircase.
  • Beautiful historic shopping arcade and one of the main landmarks in Paris. Worth a visit.
  • Some merchants, restaurants, really cute 'galerie'.
