  • except for the 3 major museums in Paris that are the Louvre, Orsay and Pompidou I think the Guimet Museum is the most interesting of Paris collections are beautiful, well highlighted, notably those concerning Cambodia's khmer art and Japanese art with beautiful prints has not missed a little further (but currently closed I think) Japanese zen garden (hotel Heidelbach) a place full of charm and calm in Paris. a museum to discover for those who appreciate Asian art but I also advise others to change of scenery offers this place

  • Set in the 16th arr, this large Paris mansion is a breath of fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of a busy and sometimes very hot Paris. It hides behind it's facade a wonderful secret. There is a collection of Japanese and Chinese artifacts (several rare Buddhas and other lovely peices). The garden at the back, for me anyway is wonderful and transports you away from the city. It is truly a truly lovely place to "just be". With water gently trickling onto stones, you feel as though you could have been transported back in time (If you ever find yourself in this garden by yourself on a hot day, you'll know exactly what I mean). This is a quiet place and should be treated with the reverence it truly deserves. (Oh and it's free!!!)
  • nice place. i had good time there
  • memory free and not pay, nice place to visit and little known. The opportunity to see beautiful statues of Japanese Tantrism that cannot only rarely!

  • Voila! Even better than the Guimet Museum! Place hidden, little known. Always enough few visitors. Go see the garden at the back of the Museum: Japanese garden with a traditional tea house. There are even ducks in the small stream. Awesome.
