  • Discover this Foundation in a small street in the 14th expos are always informative and well presented. This changes the might big expo. No bar no shop (although it is possible to buy a few books). It's good to avoid the commercialism of art

  • Out of the way, hard to find, and small -- but worth visiting if you have the time. This was our second visit. The guest exhibitions are the reason to go. Both times we have been there the photos have...  more »
  • Montparnasse quite incomprehensible. Cartier jewelry maker to associate with the, here is a photo gallery. Everything for everyone and that is hard to say. Try visiting the people who can afford the time and money with interest.

  • Nice place in a part of Paris I would have not otherwise gotten to during our trip. The photographs were beautiful, but no Henri Cartier Bresson photographs were to be found, which is a shame.
  • Very interesting expo of Jeff wall and the place is beautiful and full of Henri c. Bresson' s endless spirit....
  • Magical place. Soak it in.
  • I went all the way from Rome to Paris to visit my favorite photographer. After a long search through the streets of Paris I arrived at a closed door. Google said it was open, as did the website of the foundation, but it was a lie. Nowhere on the internet was information available that is was permanently closed. I looked through the window and found no building activity, so the paper on the door saying reopening on 9 september is hard to believe. I have bad experiences with socalled reopenings in Paris. The Picasso should reopen two years ago but never did. When do we get proper information on expositions in France?
  • Very friendly staff. Goes to the front of the visitors to explain the exhibition making it livelier. We are witnessing the disabled step by step and all staff the question arises of whether the elevator will be large enough to accommodate everyone. Great kindness that promotes a friendly atmosphere

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
