Espace Dalí, Paris

3.9
#2 of 7 in Childrens Museums in Paris
Children’s Museum Art Museum
Espace Dalí holds a collection of the great Surrealist artist's often overlooked sculptural works. This more an homage to the artist than a serious museum, with the majority of works reproductions. To find it, head up to Sacré-Cœur and stand facing it and take a left. Keep your eye out for small Dali signs. Using our custom trip planner, Paris attractions like Espace Dalí can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • As a Salvador Dalí fan this was high on my list of things to do in Paris and I was not disappointed. The museum, although small, holds a great collection of Dalí's work including paintings, sculptures...  more »
  • This is one of my favorite museums in Paris because it is so well done. Read everything they put in front of you. There is a full explanation of Dali's symbolism when you enter on the left wall (take ...  more »
  • Tucked away in Montmartre is a lovely spot to contemplate the surreal! With a well-thought out exhibit space, one travels through the mind, art, and life of Dali. It is worth all the steps you'll have...  more »

  • For anyone who is interested in arts a must to go stop. For less interested still a great chance to enrich horizons about undoubtedly one of the great minds of the 20th century.
  • Pretty crazy, but then again it is dedicated to the art of Salvador Dali. Some quite interesting pieces, and you can even buy originals.
  • Much less busy than other Paris museums, while still featuring a good collection and atmosphere. Must see for both Dali fans and people in the area!
  • Really cool how they have dali work for sale and just large enough to be interesting but not overwhelming like figueres
  • A must visit for any fans of Salvador Dali. Not all original pieces; however, a great way to see a lot of Salvador Dali's works. A bit smaller than I anticipated, and its location is kinda tucked away. If you take the audio tour, they require your passport (or piece of ID).

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
