  • St-Eustache is surely the only church in the world to contain art works by Peter Paul Rubens and Keith Haring. The height is particularly striking. The church is undergoing renovation, but that has no...  read more »
  • The Saint-Eustache Church in the District of les Halles (in full redesign) dates from the 16th century. Redesigned in the 18th century, often delayed by lack of money, the façade was not completed, and one of the two towers was never completed. She still has a great history: illustrious personalities attended, Richelieu and Molière's were baptized. Colbert, Vaugelas, Scaramouche, Marivaux, Rameau and many others. Berlioz is conducted his Te Deum. Inside, remarkable beauty, reports at the time of the Gothic and Renaissance style. Be sure to admire the Madonna and child in Pigalle who points out the Virgin child of the same sculptor of the Church Saint Sulpice. Works by Vouet, the disciples at Emmaus of Rubens, and especially the magnificent stained glass windows of the choir will enchant you. Not to mention the outstanding pulpit preaching of Victor Baltard (sculpted by Victor Pyanet) and major organs. St. Eustache is a 'must' that has nothing to envy to other major Churches in the capital. By next spring, the garden Nelson Mandela, a little unsettled by the current work, will make the District of les Halles even more attractive and relaxing. Enjoy and combine with the discovery of this treasure that is the Church of St-Eustache.

  • The Church of Saint Eustace is a reference in the Marais district. Gothic in its monumental façade, suffered from the depredations of the French Revolution, but still retains its original traits. Silent in a large area agitation, serenity from another era in the middle of pedestrians and shooping modern at your feet

  • Went to buy a book in FNAC near Les Halles, when I discovered this enormous breath taking monument. Very calm, peaceful yet extremely beautiful church. Had a great time. Real beauty of Paris lies in such places.
  • Gigantic and most beautiful church in the town. Have beautiful interior and church building is most significant.
  • I cannot understand why tourists don't show up here. The best cathedral in Paris and I am brave enough to say it's better than Norte Dame. The decoration on its walls is unique and as said before, no tourists at all. Definitely worth a visit.
  • I walk by every day when I go to work and I never tired of it, it's just a magnificent piece french gothic architecture.
  • Beautiful and enormous outside and in, definitely worth a visit.
