  • The Saint Augustin Church, built between 1860 and 1871, this monument to the art of the second empire is a success. Admire the dome outside, inspired by the style of the Italian Renaissance, the façade it an air of Majesty. Inside, the nave on each column, an Angel shows in his hands of the articles of the Decalogue. The 14 stations of the cross allows you to meditate on the road to calvary of Christ. The organ, the stained glass windows represent many Saints.

  • It is an important building in this area next to the boulevard Haussmann. It is easy to reach by metro or bus, but not to go exclusively, according to my opinion.

  • The Church of St. Augustine emerges in the middle of the Avenue of majestic shape and inserted in a large quiet and with a lot of vegetation that contrasts with the busy traffic on the Boulevard. When I visited was in the works and that's why I couldn't see the building from the outside. I noticed quite dirty inside, little care with the maintenance of the statues that understood due to the reclassification process.

  • The church looks very nice from the outside although it's very hard to get a good photo of the whole church because it's surrounded with trees and buildings in the inside the church look nice but you wouldn't see anything out of the ordinary to my own opinion. I wouldn't come here unless I'm in the area already because there are much more striking and amazing churches to see in Paris.
  • Saint-Augustin is a Lovery Clumpsy Giant. It is kind of forgotten, sadly, because in every small detail and in every edge of this church architecture is possible to point out the beauty of the XIXth century. Also, when visiting, enjoy the pleasent square beside the church: Place Henri Bergson
  • So nice church
  • If you love cathedrals, awesome architecture and beautiful buildings in general you're in for a treat. Oddly, it's not marked as an attraction so I had to spend a bit of time on google maps looking for it. It's a short walk from Eglise de La Madeleine, which is itself a short walk from the Palais Garnier (both highly recommended) I was around there on a weekday so it was closed, and there was construction going on around the entrance (renovation, maybe?) so I wasn't sure if there was even access, but since all you have to do is walk up to it and appreciate it, it's worth the effort
  • beautifull church!
