Since 1682 and the Versailles Court, Dalloyau is a Paris-based food company with an impressive history and quality foods. They offer everything from delicious pastries and cakes to unforgettable macaroons and chocolates. When visiting, you shouldn’t forget to try the Opera cake, which was invented here in 1955. The Opera is a rectangular cake composed of three thin layers of Joconde soaked in coffee syrup and garnished with coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache. The top is also covered with a dark chocolate coating.

  • On the fountain frozen winter and the paris Luco. The place is quiet is felt, we can drink eat a decent (albeit expensive) pastry or take a dish to the DRC caterer. But for those who knew Pons and her famous chocolate, the decline in quality is obvious.

  • I bought yesterday a sorbet peach. Big surprise: very clean taste of chemical product in very sweet addition. I remember from the time of Dalloyau sorbets were a real treat (I remember particularly a most excellent PEAR sorbet). It is very surprising that a home of this quality to take the risk of overuse its reputation by presenting products that even brands sold in the supermarket do (much) better!

  • I went two times at Daloyau. First to buy foie gras which ended up in the trash! A second time to buy very expensive fruit pies. I think that they were not fresh. Paste and cream were tasteless. I do not understand what is happening! Nowadays it is impossible to live on a reputation!

  • This place is terrible. Drinks were okay, but overpriced. The one star comes from their horrible service. Expect pompous waiters who want to get you out of the cafe as soon as possible. They are arrogant to the point where one waiter laughed at us and said that we couldn't order a glass of water in "his restaurant " after we spent €30 on drinks. Too many other good cafes in St Michel to waste your time here.

  • The best macarons that I had in Paris. Also had a delicious strawberry tart. Recommended by an acquaintance here in the States. Everything looked amazing.
  • Truly outstanding desserts. We tried a creamy pastry here, which had surprising but delicious flavors. We took home with us two tins: chocolate truffles and fruit jellies. Both were excellent. The jellies (which they call pâté), have real pieces fruit in them with strong fruit flavors. This place isn't cheap, but the flavor is worth the coin.
