Since 1682 and the Versailles Court, Dalloyau is a Paris-based food company with an impressive history and quality foods. They offer everything from delicious pastries and cakes to unforgettable macaroons and chocolates. When visiting, you shouldn’t forget to try the Opera cake, which was invented here in 1955. The Opera is a rectangular cake composed of three thin layers of Joconde soaked in coffee syrup and garnished with coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache. The top is also covered with a dark chocolate coating.

Dalloyau is a family-owned and independent business, with Nadine Gavillon-Bernardé as the current president since 1993. See Dalloyau and all Paris has to offer by arranging your trip with our Paris trip itinerary planner.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.

  • Great desserts, with an average amount of choices. Macarons are definitely good, and it feels nice to eat inside. One of the greatest in Paris!
  • We reserved this place on TripAdvisor's TheFork and got a discount of 20%. Located just outside Luxembourg Gardens, Dalloyao serves some yummy macaroons and lovely hot chocolate too. The staff was very polite and courteous and we had a pleasant experience here.
  • Absolutely amazing! The best cake I ever had (strawberries)! We also bought some paté. Top class!
  • Had a cheese sandwich with sun sun dried tomatoes and pesto. WOW! Possible the best sandwich ever!
  • They say that Laudree has the best macarons in Paris. I'd have to disagree. Dalloyau has the best. Light. creamy. Delicate delicacies.
