Since 1682 and the Versailles Court, Dalloyau is a Paris-based food company with an impressive history and quality foods. They offer everything from delicious pastries and cakes to unforgettable macaroons and chocolates. When visiting, you shouldn’t forget to try the Opera cake, which was invented here in 1955. The Opera is a rectangular cake composed of three thin layers of Joconde soaked in coffee syrup and garnished with coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache. The top is also covered with a dark chocolate coating.

Dalloyau is a family-owned and independent business, with Nadine Gavillon-Bernardé as the current president since 1993. By using our Paris trip itinerary website , you can arrange your visit to Dalloyau and other attractions in Paris.

  • Shop of chocolate cake "Opera" was heard. Never thought Japan dalloyau Opera is so much better, but France dalloyau, different materials have very different taste, very helpful. Other cakes and pastries are delicious. Marinade for souvenirs that didn't buy was a shame.

  • I went to the 69 Street to the convention for tea at 5 pm, but when I arrived the employee told me that the show was closed. I was very disappointed because I had watched on the internet before leaving and the closure was at 18: 00. In addition the person was not pleasant.

  • We stopped in for a quick snack and ordered two pastries: a croissant and a flan. Both were delicious! The staff was very friendly and prices were reasonable. They had a wide selection of desserts and will be coming back to try more treats!
  • The signature opera is a disappointment. Very wet, too much coffee flavour, and the chocolate does not even taste like good quality ones. And it is very small! The chocolate eclair is plain, and the cafe eclair is too sweet. They have stopped serving the only good one, caramel eclair...Doesn't deserve its fame.
  • When I decided to go to Paris, Dallayou was the first place that I want to visit. Because lots of beautiful desserts and most importantly Dallayou is the patent holder of legendary Opera Cake that I made several times in Turkey. Beautiful place to rest, good dessert, good coffee however Opera Cake did not satisfy my expectations. Maybe my expectations were wrong, I do not now. But need stronger chocolate taste, some texture (crunchy component on top), gold leaf was good. I wish I smell and taste all of the components seperately. I am so sorry to tell that it was taste an ordinary dessert. However your place in my heart is always different. You are one of the pioneers of the pastry world.
  • Awesome staff and amazing food to make a picnic with wine at the Luxembourg gardens. Little pricey but worth it. 👍🏽👌🏽
  • Great pastries, really tasty, and reasonably priced. Nice selection of cakes, too. Service wasn't overly friendly but was efficient.
