#129 of 308 in Shopping in Paris
Since 1682 and the Versailles Court, Dalloyau is a Paris-based food company with an impressive history and quality foods. They offer everything from delicious pastries and cakes to unforgettable macaroons and chocolates. When visiting, you shouldn’t forget to try the Opera cake, which was invented here in 1955. The Opera is a rectangular cake composed of three thin layers of Joconde soaked in coffee syrup and garnished with coffee butter cream and chocolate ganache. The top is also covered with a dark chocolate coating.

Dalloyau is a family-owned and independent business, with Nadine Gavillon-Bernardé as the current president since 1993. By using our Paris trip itinerary website , you can arrange your visit to Dalloyau and other attractions in Paris.

  • Will quick-delicious desserts! All six desserts that we tasted were beautiful and tasty. A great selection for all tastes. Not bad salads and quiche. But we need to come to tea with dessert. There is still a small Division in Printemps, there're just bought with a takeaway.

  • We had a nice lunch with our little 4 year old son: the team is friendly, very sophisticated and delicious salad sandwich, as for desserts... pie with lemon and baba rum excellent; our little son in fact him a meal "macarons" with child pleasure! There are surely better but critics have published harsh

  • I'm running this Saturday, August 12 at 12:40. at Dalloyau Neuilly in order to buy a cake for 3 people. I hesitate between the 3 proposed models: the giant religious to 49 euros Opera chocolate and the fruitcake at €32. My choice is the fruit and chocolate cake and the seller offers me a coulis of red fruits € 6 that I accept and I'm running for the caisse to pay €38... Surprise the invoice amounts to €48. I share my surprise personnel (3 people) and the answer soon... we are sorry this is a labeling error... and I answer... you are required to pay the price... no answer... I give up my purchase and left the store.

  • Awesome staff and amazing food to make a picnic with wine at the Luxembourg gardens. Little pricey but worth it. 👍🏽👌🏽
  • Great pastries, really tasty, and reasonably priced. Nice selection of cakes, too. Service wasn't overly friendly but was efficient.
  • This place has the most delicious macarons I found in the city. They're light and bursting with flavor. The staff are very friendly and offered me a sample to help choose flavors for my box.
  • Over priced and a bit faded now but still serving nice tea and cake with excellent view over le jardin de Luxembourg
  • High quality food & pastries, and also great service. The best coffee that I've had in Paris.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
