  • Surely it is for those who have extra time, is located close to Bastille then outside the usual tourist spots. You can schedule a walk, but inform yourself on the slopes are not very frequent and you risk turning back or too far. If you have some time, recommended especially those rare sunny days, if you don't like parks that are far more pleasant

  • A good idea to have transformed a path of railway in "green belt". We breathe above the city from Bastille to the Golden Square. It is possible to stop along the way and join the public transit.

  • A lovely 4km walk along an old railway track. I feel it would be better to wait till summer when the leaves are out. We started at Rene Dumont and walked towards The Bastille end, and I would recommen...  more »

  • It's like NY High Line Park, but in Paris. Goes all the way from the city center to the "Périphérique" in the east. Admire architecture from a few stories up, take one of the exits to stop for a drink, enjoy some relaxing moments on a public bench, do some fitness in an open air work-out area, shape up with some running... the sky is the limit!
  • Like the high line in NYC! Great place to chill and relax. Be sure to check out the art and craft stores located in the arches under the park.
  • Free elevated walkway along an old railway at rooftop level giving unique views. Great way to spend an hour walking from Hard on 're Reilly to Bastille.
  • It would have been nice to stroll along this elevated garden today (Thursday 4 January), however the entire stretch from the Bastille to the end of the Viaduct des Arts was closed with all entrances locked up with chains and large brass padlocks. Perhaps they were closed due to it being winter and they wanted to protect the gardens and its regrowth (just a guess). However shops along the Viaducts were open and we could see many artists and people restoring furniture, musical instruments, making jewellery, and selling all sorts of beautiful goods. Not the cheapest place to shop but nice to find something special and unique to take home with you from your travels. Merci beaucoup!
  • This was an old Trainway that took people from Bastille to Vincennes, and after the train stopped working it was converted to a beautiful "Promedade" or walking path, that is elevated along Avenue Daumesnil. Make a visit in spring when all the beautiful flowers appear, or in summer, when everybody lies in the grass of the Reully Garden.
