  • I have been travelling to Paris regularly for 20 years and never visited Cité Universitaire. What a mistake. This is a wonderful place to wander through, gazing at unusual buildings. The idea behind t...  more »
  • When we cross the city, we always meet someone running! I must say that the Park is vast and quiet compared to the tumult of the surrounding traffic, and the Monsouris Park, across the street! Something like 70 countries have established a building to house their students nationals. So you will see the House of the United States, China, the Morocco... Some daily offer affordable food. Industrial distribution, it is above all to help out students. Some used (or not) make it a stop on a regular basis... Every 1st Wednesday of each month, there are exhibitions or concerts in the homes. I could appreciate a photo exhibition at the House of the Argentina, with a speech in Spanish, followed by a simple snack of red wine and cheese... Then, in the same evening, a jazz concert at the House of Denmark, punctuated by reading texts in Danish and french! Sometimes these events are free entry, sometimes on reservation, but still often without scholarship untie! Of course, artists can present a limited edition sale. This is also still affordable...
