  • The Cité internationale University is located in the South of Paris, near the Boulevard Jourdan at no. 17 in the 14th district. It hosts nearly 12,000 students from around world and has nearly 58,000 housing. These are distributed in buildings whose much we were built in the style that characterizes the countries of origin. The setting is green and a park surrounds all with wide fairways sometimes shaded. I came here once and I had visited the area to the East of the central building. The western part is definitely my favorite so much the style of construction is specific with few floors, divided into pavilions, in a "University English" style. These pavilions are scattered in a wooded area, with clumps of flowers, lawns and pergolas. The setting is lovely and peaceful. A 'British' style belfry overcomes this space, which was built thanks to the patron "the Deutsch Foundation of Meurthe" in 1925. These buildings are also enrolled in Historical Monuments and so much the better! Today famous men have attended these pavilions, including the former President of Tunisia Habib Bourguiba, Jean Paul Sartre, the former president and poet of Senegal Léopold Sedar Senghor, the politician Raymond Barre, etc, you can see the buildings of Canadian students, that although "Simple" style, still has a certain charm. Further is the Pavilion of the Argentina that is consistent with the style of Latin American homes. If we continue beyond avenue David Weill, you can have fun admiring the architecture of the West side building. The House of the Provinces of France is beautifully crafted, with white tiles and brick siding, in a Dutch style of inspiration. The House of Tunisia is also remarkable. The Park is nice in late winter and move them begin to point their nose... and one already hears the fields of birds! The international academic city is accessible by Tram T3 "Cité Universitaire" station
