  • On the previous trip not we had been able to know it. In this one does. With the entrance to the Church of the Dome (Tomb of Napoleon), you can access this Cathedral. You enter through the back of the dome, where is the parade ground. The Cathedral, by Mansart, was formerly linked to the dome and the mass could be heard from both places separately. To build the tomb of Napoleon closed communication with glassware so I can see one from the place of the other and vice versa. The Cathedral is a central nave and two side very deprived, with one beautiful altar having behind the window that separates it from the dome. There are monuments, sculptures, paintings and trophies, and conquered, hanging from the ceiling cornice pennants. The furniture of the organ in the narthex was performed in 1687 by the cabinetmaker Germain Pilon. The Church belongs to the French army. The day we had a trial of some musicians of ropes that were to play later. Also going to have festivities with veterans of war by that limiting access to the courtyard, since they rehearsed a parade.

  • Cathedral close to Les Invalides, large, imposing, bright but slightly bare, though houses the tomb of Napoleon. Of course the beauty of the golden dome can be admired from many parts of the city!

  • Very nice and impressive. You remain in admiration and, reading the story, one cannot but be fascinated.
