  • First of all, it is one of the few free Museum of Paris! Then he retraces the life of Paris with a multitude of paintings, signs, objects of everyday life, of means of transport, costumes and weapons, etc... That for me the transgenerational Museum of Paris, the young and old will find their account. GO AHEAD!

  • Is located in an ancient Palace of the Renaissance Carnival. Long before there was placed a historical Museum, the mansion became famous due to the fact that over the last twenty years of his life, lived Madame de Sévigné, French writer. And now here are among the very curious exhibits come alive past Paris. Exposition devoted to various aspects: Archaeology, architecture, decorative arts. In several rooms housed the exhibits, return us to the times of the French Revolution. It was interesting to look layout, notebook with exercises of the Dauphin or chess, who played Louis XVI, distracting himself from the gloomy thoughts about the upcoming execution. Walking through countless rooms accompanied by scratchy old parquet, eyeing portraits, furniture and miscellaneous small items that belonged to the awning de Sevigne or connected with the lives of famous people, and cute in an amazing atmosphere and for a while you forget about reality. Through the Windows you can admire the magnificent courtyard.

  • The Museum tells the story of the city of Paris and has one wing only to the revolutionary period. Clothes, famous paintings, crazy, artifacts and remains of the Bastille is in this museum.

  • Wonderful museum. Beats many museums which are not free. I went for their Napoleon exhibition in 2015 and I've been going back ever since. Nice collection of beetle epoque paintings and some really interesting information on the architecture and urban landscape of fin d'siecle Paris. Go for an hour when you are wandering around the marais, go for half an hour before you leave, who cares, it's free!
  • I heard great things about this museum but sadly the museum is closed from 3 Oct, 2016- till end of 2019 as the sign advises.
  • Nice little museum with a small but diverse collection. Beautiful building and courtyard. Well worth a 20-30 minute look especially since it is free.
  • Really beautiful small Garden, but nothing is written in English, audioguides are only available in French. So not recommended for foreign tourists.
  • Important: the place is close from early October 2016 until late 2019 (!!!!) for renovation.
