Bois de Boulogne, Paris

(3.8/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Built during the reign of Emperor Louis Napoleon, Bois de Boulogne is a large public park near Boulogne-Billancourt and Neuilly-sur-Seine. The second largest park in Paris, it is three times larger than Central Park in New York. Stroll through an English landscape garden with several lakes and a cascade, two smaller botanical and landscape gardens, and a complex of greenhouses holding a hundred thousand plants. You also can find a zoo and amusement park in the Jardin d'Acclimatation, two tracks for horse racing, the Hippodrome de Longchamp and the Auteuil Hippodrome, a tennis stadium where the French Open tennis tournament is held each year, and other attractions. Put Bois de Boulogne and other Paris attractions into our Paris trip itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • After taking a little time to admire the statues in the garden of the tuileries, deserving, I tried the same exercise with less success in the bois de Boulogne. Walking between Bagatelle and greenhouses of Auteuil through the Vuitton Foundation there are still some pretty or unusual.

  • It is a nice spot to take a walk at. If you like jogging, it's even better. The park os fairly clean
  • It's very big. There is the garden of acclimatization, the Foundation Louis Vuitton much good and small park for kids of all ages, lots of greenery.

  • Beautiful parc! Great for running, you'll even get the chance to enjoy some french fries while chillin'. Try to make your way to the lake, you won't regret it ;)
  • Dog Friendly (more parks like this one please)
  • One of the few places in Paris where you can walk your dog and let it free. It's nice for picnics also or just a walk in the forest
  • Nice recreation area. Perfect for a jog or stroll with kids
  • Largest park in Paris, this is a sport oriented review. You can reach the park with the Velib as there are stations here and there. I enjoy the Bois de Boulogne to have a run across the park, you can see some wondrous building such as the LV foundation, or go for a run across the water. If you prefer bikes you can either do cross country or road bike following the roads crossing the parks. A 2h run and a 1h30 cross country bike ride can be enjoyable For other sports: You can practice football, slackline, ultimate, horse riding, scooter and skate board, pétanque.
