Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web
Built during the reign of Emperor Louis Napoleon, Bois de Boulogne is a large public park near Boulogne-Billancourt and Neuilly-sur-Seine. The second largest park in Paris, it is three times larger than Central Park in New York. Stroll through an English landscape garden with several lakes and a cascade, two smaller botanical and landscape gardens, and a complex of greenhouses holding a hundred thousand plants. You also can find a zoo and amusement park in the Jardin d'Acclimatation, two tracks for horse racing, the Hippodrome de Longchamp and the Auteuil Hippodrome, a tennis stadium where the French Open tennis tournament is held each year, and other attractions. • Really this is not a park, and a real forest. By the way, parks as more comfortable and civilized territory, are part of this rather large woodland and are as though inside it (Park Bagatelle). In the Bois de Boulogne is all: water, something like a waterfall, racetrack (in my opinion), attractions, gardens with greenhouses, walking trails, bicycle paths, routes for verovoj drive, cafes and restaurants. I.e. There is everything for an active lifestyle. Numerous parking lots busy with machines, people come here for walks or sporting activities. Bois years actually has a long history, from the 18-th century becoming the vacation spot townspeople. Interestingly, more than half of all trees-oaks. Bois years covers an area of onznačitel′no HA, and 846 more many of its famous sobrat′evtaki like Central Park in New York and Hyde Park in London. And here's the Bitsevsky Park in Moscow has an area of 2208 hectares and it is only the second largest in the city after an Elk Island.

  • The 5k run at 9 am every Saturday is fantastic. It's free and run by volunteers, and it is a lovely run through the trees and trails of the Bois. A real highlight of my few days in Paris. Google it an...  read more »
  • Bois de Boulogne, at least, its outskirts, I happened to attend regularly-there is situated the oldest Equestrian Club in Paris. Also on the outskirts of the forest you will find Louis Vuitton Cup contemporary art centre and amusement park "d'Akklimatas′on Garden". So that day the Bois de Boulogne, you can and have fun, and useful to do, and just walk with pikničkom. And here's the night this place turns into a monastery. Hmm ... Ladies and gentlemen of easy behavior, so be careful! Walking with purpose to get acquainted with the night life of the forest are recommended only when accompanied by a local Guide))

  • One of Paris' most expansive greenspaces. This area is best enjoyed by day either on bike or on foot. But anything with wheels will give you more mobility to enjoy the lakes and long stretches of trees and nature spaces.
  • When you go to this park, take the metro Les Sablons and walk trough the streets of Levallois Perret to this park (direction Parc'aclimate). Its great to go during the week since the park offers many big trees and it's good to walk with your lovable. Surely someting to reccomend. Go out and visit the Loui Vuttion museum as well, or to cheak to drnk thea.
  • Nothing special here. It is a nice park and there is a museum that is really nice.
  • Great place to come for a run, be careful with the animals, or prostitues, or dudes.
  • Vast woods, takes a lot of walking time if you are coming via metro. Absolutely gorgeous, tranquil and for the most part very very lovely. Had a great time on the boating lake.
