  • When I look up the definition of a crypt it says a tomb or burial place. This is an archaeological dig. No burials, just building foundations and a few pots and coins. It was interesting, but a let do...  read more »
  • It is a nothing interesting place and also that is very expensive in comparison to the museums. It is very small and really has nothing special. Simply bad and do not recommend it. They are only the foundations of what was old Paris. But nothing special. The entrance is €8 and is a little hidden, opposite Notra Dame. All that enjoyment was a booth to take the memory of a photo in a currency.

  • I spent 1.5 hours absolutely exciting in this crypt! Accompanied by a (super) guide, I don't know what can give the visit without someone to explain everything to you, but I have noticed many explanatory signs.

  • Okay, not great. If you love archeology probably very good. This is not directly under the church as far as I could tell.
  • Inexpensive to enter (€5 concession, €7 full) and showcased numerous ruins, but they are not sufficiently distinctive and the explanations of what they previously were (homes for children, gates) do not help either. Probably only a must-see for archaeology buffs.
  • Very cool little archaeological museum under the plaza. Houses ruins of an old Roman bathhouse and a few other buildings. Definitely worth a visit if you're going to Notre Dame.
  • This could easily be missed if you don't walk just the right way out of Notre Dame. Its entrance is down a set of stairs. It's an important piece of history and unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time because we weren't expecting to do it. But I'm glad we stopped in to see what once was Paris.
  • It's Notre Dame. The historical value alone makes it worth the visit. But the architecture is incredible to see.
