  • Overlooking the city from the Hill of the village who gave him his name, the keep is with the feudal clod, the moat, the embankment which overcome them, the remains of the House, the speaker and the false - Brays, the most remarkable vestige of this castle built from 1242 by Gaston VII, Viscount of Béarn. On the ground floor: visit filmed on screen (reconstruction of the site); animation (evocation of life in the middle ages); exhibition of various objects around the Castle (model) and of the most illustrious occupants, Gaston III says Gaston Phébus (you can see a copy of his famous book of hunting). Note the friendly welcoming people of the association who were opening the site in scorching July afternoon and which take a shop where, among other things, delicious jams. From the top of the Dungeon, top of 33 meters, panoramic view of the old town and the Pyrenees. The site has a very nice sound and light. Classified historical monument by Decree of February 17, 1995.

  • I could not visit the (hourly) inside, but the outside is original to the remains of fortified moats, and the architectural ensemble, which can be visited at any time, for example during a romantic evening walk...

  • It's very pretty, full of history, but in fact really quickly round... Too bad it was closed when we went there because we would have liked to see the view from the top of the tower.
