Arc de Triomphe, Orange

(3.9/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
represents the ancient and distinctive manifestations of Roman architecture. The triumphal arches were used for grand occasions, such as welcoming victorious generals and their brave soldiers or establishing new colonies. While many of the arches are in ruins, the Arch of Titus, built in the Roman period, still stands. This was the model for many future arches around Europe, including the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. • Towards the heart of the city, walking for me is early in the morning still dark hours arrived, about 15 minutes. Can be reached in about 10 minutes from the center of the area that is now gone because there's nothing, only to come back. You could watch because nobody else is around in work so hard, but calmly.

  • Spectacular triumphal arch, stands out for its size and for being more ancient than the one in Rome. Heritage of mankind. Importantly the visit, this slightly away from the Center. Well-preserved Agripa stands on the track.

  • Beautiful arc in small but lovely town
  • Orange is definitely worth visiting, and the 'Arc de Triomphe' is one of the items you shouldn't miss.
  • Very nice site. Easy to access and available on site history. And for fans of Pokémon: it's an arena.
