  • A magnificent building externally. We were quite amazed that nobody had ever lived in this château. We visited the place on a Sunday as not much is normally open. The château turned out to house both ...  read more »
  • The exhibition inside is unusual (Modern Art) and is not related to the history of the building. Be prepared for a shock. Intriguing but not to everyone's taste.
  • First say that we met a sparkling guide! Point on the story with her, we knew particularly that this castle was possession of Mme. de Maintenon. A castle with a body of logis with wings different styles and eras, original and interesting. Exit the furniture and carpet, dusty draperies, however, remains a rich ornamentation of paintings, see the Gallery, the coffered ceiling, gilded and overloads of a baroque decoration for the room of the King... and then, the good idea to express contemporary special note to the Gallery of portraits of Boltanski, in the dining room of Raoul Marek , let the surprise, I will say no more. As for the current work of Stan Wannett, it can disturb... but again let go, rethink the works of Otto Dix, the macabre dances... A rich Castle, an alliance with the contemporary art heuristic, one desire: to go back!

  • Nice Castle ruined by an exhibition of the most disgusting me gave to see. Animals have been butchered. An example, "the artist" stuck a body of squirrel with a fish tail, all stuffed... and people call it art...

  • A pleasant day spent in family in this magical and surprising place. Picnic in the Park and wandering in the halls footprints of mystery... This is a place that is worth a visit! And... the kids loved (especially the fabulous animals and anamorphosis)! Response to the response to the "owner": indeed! the booklet given to children at the reception is very friendly and funny! (For adults too! and maybe even to advise those, slightly grizzled, that seem to not have understood the dialogue between the place and the collection of contemporary works...). Thanks again to all the team and its warm.

  • An atypical place, amazing and out of time... an outstanding monument by its architecture, its Gallery of paintings from the 16th and his contemporary art collection featuring more than 70 international artists... A MUST-SEE!
