One of the first public parks in Europe, Jardins de la Fontaine is filled with cedars, pines, chestnuts, and many species of Mediterranean plants--as well as remarkable sculpture and architecture. Look for the stone tower, a large fountain, and various carved staircases and walkways. It's nice to have the picnic with friends or families, to do shopping or even a simple rest in the shade.

A well- curated and well spaced park. One side has a hill on it with maze-like paths winding through the hill while the rest of the park is quite open. Statues are dotted throughout the park. Overall this was one of my favorite parks in France. It's a must see if you're in Nimes.

Free and a good place to stroll just watch out for dust clouds on a windy day. There are also activities for children and other points of interest scattered across the gardens.

A must see when you're in Nîmes. Perfect for relaxing, walking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. It is very tidy, well-kept and contains historic Roman elements. When climb to the top and climb the Tour Magne, you get a fantastic panorama of the city and the area.

Nice, very quiet and interesting park in Nimes. Here, apart from the fountains and the park, the remains of the Roman temple of Diana and the Roman tower are the most interesting.

Very nice park to walk around and enjoy fountains, the ruins of a Roman temple, lots of green and a tower with an interesting view.
