  • We visited the Palace of the Sardinians (prefecture) on the heritage day. Furniture, paintings and all the displayed explanations we were delighted. It is a very nice building in perfect condition which was used for filming (Sophie Marceau) advertising or television series (Riviera).

  • We do not know if you normally have to pay admission, the fact is that we entered for free; good thing because we can say it was a pleasant tour within some room open to the public is not particularly set out, but interesting ... paying we were a bit disappointed because the money demands don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

  • This Mansion is only open to the public on special occasions. I was lucky that it was European heritage days while I was in Nice, so there was access. The mansion is a unique well preserved baroque palace built for the Duke of Lombardy in the early 1600 's. Some of the spaces has been changed, but all appear as pompous with stunning ornaments, columns, stucco, mirrors, etc. All rooms are furnished in Louis XIIII and Louis XV style. It is very nice.
